More Than a Brand: Why We Support Stray Dog Shelters in China

Ever since the beginning of Le Bel Ami, we have been working alongside stray dog rescue communities in both Beijing and Chongqing, supporting organizations that provide shelter, medical care, and rehabilitation for abandoned and injured dogs.

What began as a personal commitment of both founders slowly became part of the spirit behind Le Bel Ami.

In many cities across China, stray dogs survive in extremely difficult conditions. Some are abandoned after breeding, some are rescued from abuse, and many simply have nowhere safe to go. Independent rescue shelters often operate with limited funding, relying entirely on volunteers, donations, and community support to continue their work.

Through our collaboration with rescuers on the ground, we witnessed not only the hardship these animals face, but also the compassion and resilience of the people dedicating their lives to protecting them.

That is why we decided to make this support a permanent part of our journey.

Starting from the first day, 5% of profits from Le Bel Ami will be donated directly to stray dog rescue shelters in Beijing and Chongqing. These contributions help provide:

- Food and daily supplies

- Shelter maintenance

- Rehabilitation support 

For us, this is not charity as branding. It is responsibility, gratitude, and a belief that businesses should remain connected to real lives and real communities.

Le Bel Ami was created around the idea of warmth, companionship, and emotional connection. Supporting rescued stray dogs feels like a natural extension of those values.

Why We Do This

Every Order Means Something

Since the beginning of Le Bel Ami, a portion of every order has gone toward food and essential supplies for stray animal rescue. Each order may mean a meal, a little extra care, and support for an animal still waiting for a home.

Three Shelters, Three Stories

We delivered supplies to three rescue shelters dedicated to giving stray animals a safer, better life.

Chongqing Warm Paws Stray Animal Rescue Station

This shelter mainly helps injured stray cats and dogs, many of whom arrive with serious injuries.

The rescuers here constantly find ways to cover medical expenses and take these animals to receive treatment.

We provided the shelter with daily essentials such as cat food and dog food, hoping this small gesture can become part of the ongoing care they provide every single day.

Aunt Liu’s Cat Rescue Shelter in Chongqing

Another rescue shelter in Chongqing is cared for by one woman alone. From daily feeding to arranging vaccinations, every detail requires her personal attention. Such care may seem ordinary, but it requires endless time and energy.

We prepared cat food and other supplies for the cats here. Although we cannot personally share the responsibilities with Aunt Liu, we hope this small form of support can make things a little easier and bring some warmth to both her and the cats she cares for.

Beijing Meile Courtyard

At this shelter in Beijing, more than 400 cats and dogs live together. Even with so many animals to care for, every corner here remains clean and comfortable, creating a safe environment for them.

Seeing someone devote so much patience and love to caring for so many animals is truly heartwarming. We prepared cat food, dog food, and other supplies for the shelter, hoping to provide a little extra support for their daily care.

Le Bel Ami has always cherished the simple and genuine bond between people and animals.

Seeing people doing everything they can to protect these stray animals has only strengthened our belief: even small acts of kindness can become part of something meaningful.
