Le Bel Ami began with two girls and a lot of dogs.
One of us grew up in Chongqing—bold, vibrant, and full of life. The other comes from Beijing—straightforward, passionate, and endlessly curious. We met through a community of stray dog rescuers, brought together by a shared belief that every dog deserves love, care, and a second chance.
Over the years, we fostered dogs, volunteered at shelters, transported rescues across cities, and spent countless weekends surrounded by muddy paws and wagging tails. Through it all, dogs became more than companions—they became family.
As dog lovers, we were constantly searching for accessories and everyday essentials that felt beautiful, joyful, and thoughtfully made. But most of what we found was either cheaply made, overly practical, or simply lacked personality.
So we decided to create our own.
Le Bel Ami was born from the idea that dogs deserve beautiful things too. We design pieces that celebrate the charm, individuality, and spirit of every dog—objects that bring a little more beauty to daily walks, quiet afternoons, and all the small moments in between.
Our inspiration comes from the dogs who changed our lives, the rescue community that brought us together, and the belief that love is often found on four paws.
